Who knows what really happened here? Certainly the public record is somewhat vague about the why, but what we do know is that PetroSA’s chair seems to have unilaterally binned a contract for transporting workers to rigs, and was sued by Indwe Aviation. As an encore, he went on to try and sack his own newly appointed CEO (chosen by the Minister for Energy), who was later reinstated by the board[14][15][16].
